Technical solution
Airzone Cloud now accepts commands only from your home internet connection. So a small box at home sends them for you, and your phone talks to the box from anywhere.
The cloud checks where a command comes from. With the box, it comes from your home.
No hacking: Airzone documents this API itself. The box uses Airzone's official
Cloud Web API (and
WebSocket API) at
m.airzonecloud.com/api/v1, signed in with your own account. Nothing is cracked, no vulnerability is
exploited.
The parts
Who knows what
🔌 The box
- Your cloud email and password
- The cloud's temporary token
- Your Wi-Fi details
🌐 The site
- Your email
- A hash of your Warmhole password
- Your home, sessions, last room state
- Never your cloud password
☁️ Airzone cloud
- Your account, as always
- Requests that look like your home's
Details on the Privacy page.
Cost: about €15 once for the box, the site is free. The official plan costs €48 a year.
Limits
- The box must stay plugged in at home.
- Unofficial public beta: Airzone does not endorse it, the API may change, and it may not match Airzone's terms of use. Use it at your own risk.
- A computer (Chrome or Edge) is needed once, to install the box.
